Stella's Bio

Stella Casas Ciniglio was born in Puerto Rico. She began her dance studies at the age of four at École Les Danses and later at Ballets de San Juan. In 2013, she joined Escuela de Danza 21, the official school of CoDa21, directed by Denisse Eliza, where she performed in company productions such as Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland by Septime Webre, as well as La Sylphide and school performances.

In 2015, she participated in the Washington Ballet Summer Intensive. In 2017, she joined Centro Danza, a school directed by Laura Valentín and Osmay Molina. With Centro Danza, she performed in productions such as Coppélius, playing the role of Swanilda in the First Act, and Swan Lake as Black Swan. She also danced the Romeo and Juliet pas de deux and Preciosa by María Julia Landa, among others.

Stella has participated in various prestigious dance competitions, including the Caribbean Danceport Classic, Miami International Ballet Competition, Dance Open America, Puerto Rico Classical Dance Competition, World Dance Movement, and The Ballroom Project. In 2021, she was invited to perform at the Miami International Ballet Festival.


Stella joined United Ballet Theatre, an Orlando-based company directed by Joseph Gatti, for the 2021-2022 Season as a Trainee, performing in productions such as Una Noche de Alegría, The Nutcracker, and The Ballet Collection.


She later joined Ballet Concierto for the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons, performing in productions such as Majísimo, Giselle, Don Quixote, The Nutcracker, and Swan Lake, among others.


Beyond her classical ballet training, Stella has participated in musical theater programs, including Steps on Broadway Summer Study in New York and Slay for Hope, among others. She has also danced and/or choreographed for various music videos and concerts of Puerto Rican artists such as Hermes Croatto, Roy Brown, and Los Segreles.


Stella has been invited four times to participate in a program by the legendary Radio City Rockettes called Rockettes Fundamentals.


Additionally, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of Puerto Rico. She has worked with the international dance competition Dance Open America and the global remote interpreting company Kelly Services. Additionally, she taught dance for two years at Centro Danza, and has collaborated on artistic and choreographic projects in Puerto Rico.


She is currently obtaining her Pilates Mat and Reformer Instructor Certification through Balanced Body.


Recently, Stella was cast in the musical The Addams Family, produced by BAS Entertainment, which was performed in October and November 2024. She then starred in the musical Rock of Ages under the same production company, running from February to March 2025 in Puerto Rico.


Stella has since relocated to New York City to pursue her dreams and currently works as a Pilates Instructor at New York Pilates.
