  • No, we don’t consider our focus to be competitive, although sparring inside the class and among the peers is encouraged. They are allowed to choose if this is something they want or not.

 9. Are there any belt promotions or grading tests?

  • Only for children. We have a belt ranking system that allows students to progress through different levels of proficiency. We believe children need the encouragement. Belt promotions are based on a combination of skill, knowledge, and dedication demonstrated by the student. Our adult system is not belted, as we focus more on proven ability.

 10. Can I try a class before committing?

  • Of course! We offer introductory classes or trial periods for new students to experience our training environment and see if it’s the right fit for them before making any commitments.
